The Orange Geiger Tree is a small shapely tree growing 10'-20' tall bearing clusters of beautiful orange flowers. The flowers are followed by a white edible fruit. It is native to South America, Yucatan, the West Indies, and the Florida Keys. It was named for Captain John H. Geiger, who built his home in Key West, "Geiger tree" is likely of local origin. Very drought and salt spray tolerant. Loves full sun! Makes a nice, small street tree.
